I don't see why you and retardedimmigrant are getting it so seriously. it's just my opinion. if I have to think about great drummers I remember Bill Bruford and Simon Phillips; if I think about bass players, Jaco Pastorius, John Wetton.
Queen made great music, but it was 'simple' music (nothing to do with Genesis, King Crimson, Yes). Freddie has been the best frontman and singer ever appeared in rock history, and who met him was the lucky one. this is just my opinion: am I allowed to have one?

They are both right, queen had four composers and three good singers. John Deacon played easy bass parts like this, but he also played complex ones on songs such as the "Millionare Waltz" and "Your my Best Friend (which he wrote)". I wouldn't say Roger was the best drummer, but he can play better than alot of them. Each member wrote a huge song, Deacon wrote three huge ones including their best selling song "Another one bites the Dust". You are allowed an opinion, but it isn't a very good one.

of course you are allowed to have an opinion. but you were saying that only freddie and brian had any importance in the group. and that's just wrong. i would have to agree that i don't automatically think of queen when i think of great musicions. but you don't have to be the best of the best to play, and play well.without the rest of the band, freddie wouldn't be worth anything. maybe he's the lucky one, that he found band mates willing to sit in his shadow their whole careers.

Freddie was the Queen: as I said, Deacon and Taylor were good composers, but there were many good composers in 70's and 80's. Freddie was the showman, was the voice, was a style, and today is the reason why we are speaking about them (and please take AIDS and other things apart). paying full respect to Deacon and Taylor that were good composers, I repeat.

I was ten or eleven when Another one bites the dust came out, and we all sang it, it was a hit. it was a pop hit, just like some Elton John's, Madonna's, Duran Duran's songs. a "huge song" for me is Stagnation of Genesis, Starless of King Crimson, Heroes of David Bowie (and many others).
