bravo! hearing her for the first time, i feel that she is intentionally or unintentionally imitating a lot of past black R&B singers. i just don't see her as an original artist. that, and her voice gets boring after about the 3rd song. nasal depressed goof ball? yeah, that's about right! :))

Sounds like she's emulating Erykah Badu's singing/performing style in this tune. Not a bad choice at all in neo-soul inpiration. This is a real, mellow tune & I love it!
Amy admires a number of Black musical artists over several genres of music & a couple of generations as reflected in her writing & vocal styling. I really dig this chick & canNOT wait for her next CD to drop!
