what the fuck?! you must be crazy. Leona has a HUGE vocal range and can hit whistle notes like mariah. leona's at the beginning of her career so it's stupid to even propose comparisons such as sale figures. So far leona is the biggest selling artist in the world for 2008; not Mariah,who also released her album in 2008.
It's hard to get 'noticed', if leona had oppurtunities like Mariah (meeting Columbia records executive) then im sure she would be have been 'noticed'.

you cant compare leona's performances in 2008 to mariah's and whitney. they had bigger concerts than her back in their prime. this is leona entering her prime and back when both whitney and mariah were in that stage, they were better. leona right now has more opportunity become greater because of the internet and everything. this is something the other two didnt have, and they did just as great or better. and im not saying that leona sucks at all. just not as good as the other two

i guess we have to agree to disagree, I believe she is better than the other two because Leona sounds like her CDs live ALL the time, and sometimes even better, she's amazing, and if you see LIVE PERFORMANCES of Mariah and Whitney they aren't as good; people have to warm up to Leona, they just aren't warming up to her fast enough because she seems too shy. Not everyone is good with words, soon she'll be comfortable. We should be glad that we still hear ppl with such great talent! (no lipsync)

of course leona voice is very good, but compare to Mariah, her voice is still limitted. Mariah can sing in a higher tone. It's not so good when Leona sings in a high. Mariah is still the best!

she has less of an advantage now because of the internet, people don't buy records anymore they could go to iTunes and only download the song they like... So Leona has it harder than the divas and you can't compare them to LEONA because she does a better live performance than whitney and mariah who loose their breath when they are singing... soo sad... they were good but not as PERFECT as LEONA is!
