In English is many phrases connected with colors. I know some more: be a bit green, once in blue moon, green fingers, withe lies or (be) blue and black. Probably there are more such sentence.
Question: Can we use "come through with flying colors" in any situation? e.x.
I have come through quiz with flying colors.

You're right. There are many idioms and expressions about colors. Seems like you know a good number of them.
Usually "come through with flying colors" is used in connection to an academic test, but it's possible to use this expression when talking about any situation that proves to be a test of some sort. Example: a political candidate's first major debate. "The young candidate came through with flying colors."

haha Americans an their laziness in spelling words.
Such as you spell it as 'color' and 'neighbor', but in Australia we spell those words as 'colour' and 'neighbour'.
Oh and by the way, black and white are NOT colours, they are shades.

Most everything in life can be seen from more than one perspective. What one person claims to be an example of laziness another person may view as an act of efficiency.
In the case of English dialects, I recognize and embrace them all. What a dull world it would be if we all spoke one language without any variation.

I am originally from Nepal. When I was there, I followed British english as a requirement at school. And now I am enjoying learning the language in American way. Yeah, I agree with you.
