This song got me through college- it always reminded me of the guy I had such a crush on... eventually we hooked up, but it didn't turn out the way I'd hoped-- and when I thought about it, I realized- yeah, I did buy you that ring, cus I never was cool. And I'd do it all over again. :)

I had a teacher get in serious trouble for giving me a bootleg tape of them. My teacher also gave me Grateful dead and dylan tapes (you know it was a while ago because I said tapes) Mostly because I think she thought I had potential to be a kind and compassionate person. I never knew if she was gay or not, and to be honest, it never crossed my mind. But she was one of the teachers that truly touched my heart and taught me about compassion and character. I just found out she has passed away. RIP

I have to say, as a Brit, I'm shocked at the level of homophobia that emanates from America. Land of the Free? There seems to be such extreme hate in some ignorant folk out there.
