Eh isnt a canadian thing. WE say it a lot, but so do other people. They say it in the american maritimes, in england and ireland, and in a few other places. Italian americans say eh too, they just put it on the beginning of the sentence instead of the end.
A small group of canadians and american maritimers do say aboot, but very few. Love canada though. I'll be living in edmonton in a week, most patriotic city in the country, hockey-wise. They spontaneously erupt in song during the anthem.
