They are an Emo group. Texts, music and atmospheres are all linked with emo's depressive and ipersensitive way of interpretate the life itslef. But this is meaningless, Placebo were born before emo-phlosofy, it would be anachroistic linking placebo and emos. Maybe we can say that they insipred many emo group nowadays.

I don't even said a word about their music. i know how it is classified, and i understand your fear of an emo classification for The Placebo. But considering the main themes of their songs, their look i can clearly say that they are one of the gruop that inspired Emos. It's not an insult, keep it real :D
