Not only do I disagree with the whole Pearl Jam and AIC, bercause they both great in there own way, but also, I believe the Jerry, Layne, and the rest of the all had a part in song writing, not more than the other, it takes a band to be great, not just the lead singer.

@lovelayne4ever: They both wrote, but actually, Jerry DID write almost all of thier hits. Layne had a hand in some of them, some were collaborations... but the majority of them, especially the big big ones like Rooster, Would, were written by Jerry.
Rooster: Jerry. Would: Jerry. Them Bones: Jerry. Down in a Hole: Jerry. Heaven Beside You: Jerry. No Excuses: Jerry. Got Me Wrong: Jerry. Sea of Sorrow: Jerry. Don't Follow: Jerry. Main in the Box, I Stay Away: Layne. Layne was the vocal genius.

Also... Down In A Hole: Written by Jerry. It was a partnership. Jerry was the lyrical mastermind, Layne was the vocal genius. BUT... almost all of thier hits were written by Jerry. This is a fact.
